Sea Trucks Group & Wellstream International Ltd. launch Seastream SURF Solutions

Sea Trucks Group and Wellstream International Ltd, are pleased to announce the creation of Seastream SURF Solutions, a new non-incorporated joint venture between the marine services provider Sea Trucks Group and flexible pipe manufacturer Wellstream International Limited. Seastream will provide global flexible pipe based SURF installation capabilities utilising Sea Trucks latest Jascon new build vessel fleet. These new Jascon vessels, based on the highly successful Jascon 5 design, are capable of performing flexible and rigid pipelay, and combined with significant deck space, craneage and accommodation facilities, will provide a true multi-task platform to execute major projects.
Launching this joint venture, Jacques Roomans, President of Sea Trucks said "In Seastream we will continue to challenge existing contracting practices. We want to ensure that we engage the customer to find the optimal technical solution which is most cost effective. We have 5 of these unique vessels commissioned for delivery between early 2008 and 2010."
