Sea Trucks announces first contract from BP
03 May 2011
Sea Trucks Group (“Sea Trucks”), one of the largest and fastest growing oil and gas marine contractors in West Africa, announces a contract award from BP Angola to replace four HP coolers on the Greater Plutonio FPSO operating in Block 18 offshore Angola. This is the first contract awarded by BP to Sea Trucks, the first construction project which Sea Trucks will perform in Angola and will be the fourth DP3 Offshore Construction / Accommodation Support vessel Sea Trucks are operating in the country.
After the recent award from Hess to provide installation services to its Sendje Ceiba FPSO in Equatorial Guinea, this is the second award for lifting services in West Africa to be performed by either Jascon 25 or Jascon 34 (sister ships), two of Sea Trucks’ new DP3 Heavy Lift / Construction vessels.
The scope of work comprises the replacement of four cooler modules on board the Greater Plutonio FPSO. Four existing cooler modules are to be removed from the FPSO, followed by lifting the four replacement individual cooler modules which will then be skidded into position.
The work is expected to be executed during 2Q 2011.
