Responsibilities:

• Identifying requirements for safety, health, environment and security (HSES);
• Review of tenders and contracts on HSES requirements;
• Providing HSES input to tenders and contracts;
• Auditing of Subcontractors and vendors;
• Advising and supporting company staff in complying with HSES requirements;
• Supporting project teams in meeting HSES requirements;
• Supporting risk assessments related to HSES aspects;
• Proposing measures to reduce the identified risks;
• Monitoring follow-up on proposed measures;
• Maintaining HSES records and files;
• Promoting of company policy and Company Safety Management System (CMS);
• Identification and reporting of HSES areas of concern to Manager HSES;
• Proposing and stimulating optimization and improvements;
• Adequately performing internal and external audits;
• Observing if (project) activities are performed in accordance with HSES;
• Have unrestricted access to work areas and carry out safety audit;
• Report safety audit findings to HSES Manager;
• Recommend improvements to systems and processes to company’s management;
• Check and verify ongoing work, subcontractors and own sites (vessels, Pipe lay barges etc.);
• Review Company and Project procedures prior to release.

Reports to:

• Manager HSES (functional);
• Project Manager (project related).

Directs:

• HSE Officers.

Knowledge, Skills & Ability Required:

• Good practical and theoretical knowledge of HSES standards: ISO 14001, BS-OHSAS 18001;
• Good knowledge of HSES management systems;
• Good knowledge of the English language both written and spoken;
• Capable to motivate and manage people;
• Good social and communication skills;
• Service oriented attitude.

Experience & Education:

• Minimum of 1 year experience in HSES management;
• Minimum of 4 years experience in offshore Oil and Gas industry;
• Bachelor Degree in Nautics or Nautical / Civil / Mechanical Engineering or equivalent;
• Environmental management, safety management courses;
• Auditor training.
