Job title : Local Shore Co-ordinator Location : Lagos, Nigeria
Responsibilities:
Ensuring that vessels are timely provided with required equipment and sufficient operating supplies, in a cost efficient way where safety, health, environment and security are safeguarded;
Close co-operation with ship operating company / organisation;
Co-ordination logistics and vessel supply;
Timely transfer of people, materials, equipment, supplies and consumables between vessels and shore;
Logistic day-to-day communication with vessels;
Local storage and transportation;
Communication between Operations Co-ordinator and Project Manager;
Arranging consumables for appointed vessels;
Communication and co-operation with local agents, suppliers and port authority representatives;
Making harbour arrangements;
Keeping track of transferred materials and goods;
Preparing proper documentation for shipments;
Ensuring validity of containers and riggings;
Supervision of transportation by vessel, barge, craft and road;
Arranging scrap disposal in a safe and environment friendly way as per company procedures;
Assistance of repairs on vessels / equipment locally performed;
Maintaining logistic documentation;
Arrange local activities in such manner that vessels are timely provided with personnel, equipment, operating supplies, materials and consumables;
